Hi Iv Recently Found A Small Lump On My Left

Hi iv recently found a small lump on my left side of my neck not on my troth it seems to be on a muscle, it's not sore to touch, iv been giving tablets for a pain I have on the left side of my head and since then 5 days ago I found this one small lump? Can u help in any way to tell me what it could be I'm very worried because my father had cancer on the same side of the neck?
