Hi I've Had A Dry Spot In My Throat For

Hi i've had a dry spot in my throat for a few months now. Even when actually drinking water it doesn;'t seem to hit the spot, like the water goes around a spot in my throat. I know sounds odd but that's the feeling. any idea what this could be? i drink water constantly and nothing helps. I'm going to see my doctore next week
