Hi Just A Question About The Pill I'm Due To

Hi just a question about the pill I'm due to go on my sugar pill in 7 days but I have a special occasion I really don't want it then I was planning on skipping it in a week but I'm getting them period feelings already will my period just come anyway when I try and skip or would it be best to start my sugar pill earlier and hopefully get my period over and done with by then?
