Hi, Just Came Off Atorvastatin, Worked Great For Cholesterol/blood Work

Hi, just came off Atorvastatin, worked great for cholesterol/blood work but muscle pain, and stiffness became extreme. Dr prescribed different station drug, but after checking "muscle enzymes" via blood work took me off that. Will this pain resolve itself and/or what should I be doing to reduce and minimize it? I'm very concerned not taking anything as my last cholesterol blood work a week after stopping Atorvastatin was a mess (272 w hdl, ldl and triglycerides all well outside of normal ranges). Alternatives?!
