Hi, Last Month I Went To Doctor And Found Out

Hi, last month I went to doctor and found out that I came back positive for both gonnorhea and chlamydia. I was treated for both of them as well. But I also started a new birth control at the same time. I was wondering could I possibly have spotting multiple days after my period because I just started the birth control? I typically have regular periods that last 5 days. My period was last Thursday when I started my new birth control and I'm still having spotting.
