Hi Last Month My Periods Come One Week Before, And

Hi last month my periods come one week before, and after 7-8 days they started again with a regular flow. Trying to conceive but checked with home pregnancy kit but result is -ve. Want to know am I pregnant or not. And what other thing I have to do to check this. Took an appointment but want to know little early abt the possibilities. Last month date was 27th but they came on 23rd and again on 4th November. normal 28-29 day cycle, first time facing this situation, and if there is a possibility when can I check again.
