Hi Last Night I Eat A Piece Of My Birthday

Hi last night I eat a piece of my birthday cake an swallowed a large shape piece of plastic off candle it was stuck in my throat and I was choking ,I managed to vomit it up I am eating and drinking OK but throat is very painful when I swallow. Think it has scrapped my throat do I need to see my doctor or should it be ok
