Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi last week my doctor told me my blood test showed that I had over active thyroid. I need to go back to doctor as she is running my test on my bloods. Last night I woke up from sleeping as I was having my first ever panic attack. I was hot felt like I was chocking and trembling. After 10 mins I calm down by splashing cold water on my face and applying ice packs on my body. It was a terrible experience. Do you think the thyroid cause the panic attack or was it due to a stressful day? After the panic attack I went back to sleep and slept well. What should I do if I experience another attack? I am 43 year old woman.
