Hi Last Week On Thursday I Hit My Shin Or

Hi last week on Thursday I hit my shin or lower left part of my knee on a dock plate at the warehouse I currently work at. When this happened the pain was excruciating to the point I could not walk. Over the course of the last few days the pain came back and this morning the pain was so bad I had to call off of work. What's going on? Did I break something or what?
