Hi, My 15 Yr Old Daughter Had An Endoscopy Today

Hi, my 15 yr old daughter had an endoscopy today because of vomiting blood, nausea and abdominal pain. The doctor said she has esophagitis. He took biopsies and we're waiting for the results. They told us she may have a sore scratchy throat. She is experiencing pain in her chest area on the right side. So much so that she is in tears and can't swallow even her saliva.
Is this normal?
