Hi My 3 Year Old Has Got A Moderate Hole

Hi my 3 year old has got a moderate hole in the heart, which requires surgery, but the hole has stayed the same for 3 years, we went for a scan the other day and her right side of her heart it's moderate dilated, because of to much blood going in. Is this something to worry about and why all of a sudden the change? Thankyou
