Hi My 6 Yr Old Son Has Been Diagnosed With

Hi my 6 yr old son has been diagnosed with ADHD. He has been on meds and nothing seems to work. He still has loud outbursts when in conversations and sometimes runs back and forth yelling very loud. It is like he can't hear me when I try to calm him down. What's going on?
