Hi, My 80 Year Old Mother-in-law Has Had Heavy Nose

Hi, my 80 year old mother-in-law has had heavy nose bleeds for a few days. Today; after a particularly heavy bleed all night she has double vision and a "spacey" head. She's 150 miles away. Her carer phoned me as she is refusing to go to the Dr. as she has an appointment next week. Should we get her carer to take her to make her go to the Dr. Or is it (as she is saying) nothing to worry about? She isn't a well lady, she has Lupus and other age related health issues.
