Hi, My 80 Yrs Old Mother Had A L2 Compression

Hi, my 80 yrs old mother had a L2 compression fracture one month ago. She was advised to be on bedrest for two months. She had hard time urinating and had foley catheter. we try to wean her off foley. She started peeing with difficulty right after the foley was removed and having more urinary retention after 12 to 24 hours. We had to re-insert the foley again. I would like to know is there a better way to wean her off the foley.
