Hi, my 93 yr old mom has a UTI that was resistant to Macrobid. She has had gi side effects in the past with Keflex, so should we try Keflex first and if bad gi effects, then try Amikacine? Worried that kidney damage may occur if Amikacine used initially?? Thank you for your advice, Peggy Stevens
