Hi, My Almost 3 Year Old Has A Red Bumpy

Hi, my almost 3 year old has a red bumpy spot on her upper lip. Red color with 2 red spots in it, like 2 tiny mosquito bites. she licks it at times but doesn't seem to bother her. She has it since early morning. I am worried it is a cold sore since she was in contact with her aunt who had an active outbreak, but claims she has not kissed her or came in contact. How can I tell the difference between cold sore versus her just maybe biting her lip etc. she did come down with a stomach bug and low grade fever early afternoon which I think is unrelated to the red spot.
