Hi, My Boyfriend Had A CT Done Today To Check

Hi, my boyfriend had a CT done today to check for kidney stones. The stone study was negative but the doctor was puzzled that his stomach showed as a white mass on the CT (without contrast). He hasn't had any barium ever or stomach surgery nor taken tums, etc. Any ideas on what could cause this?
