Hi My Boyfriend Has A Severe Tooth Ache And I

Hi my boyfriend has a severe tooth ache and i believe an abcess. His left side of face is swollen and he cant even open his mouth. He is in severe pain. Ive called many dental services and they wont extract the tooth. They said they would have to give him antibiotics first. My question is if we go to the emergency room will he be able to extract the tooth?
