Hi My Child Is 2 Year 6 Months Old And

Hi my child is 2 year 6 months old and doctor advised him 2 take seroflo inhaler for 2 months twice a day because he suffer from cough and cold in every 1 or 2 months. so is it safe to give this medicine and what are the side effect.
plz help me with any other alternate syrup. \
Should i stop it immediately. because he not take it easily and afraid and cry lot.
