Hi My Daughter Has Recently Had 3 Abcesses Drained On

Hi my daughter has recently had 3 abcesses drained on lower leg. How long can she expect it to take to heal and is it normal to have swelling ankle. Two of them were just above ankle. She also had one on shin and it seemed to be healing but she dropped a piece of wood and it hit the wound site and now is red and sore. I hope it is bruised but not sure.
