Hi, My Daughter Is 28 And She Had Ulcerative Colitis

Hi, my daughter is 28 and she had Ulcerative Colitis for 5 years now. She had some flare ups, some were pretty bad up to the point the doctor wanted to do a surgery and remove the whole colon. Now, she more or less got it under a control and sometimes when things are getting worse she starts to take Prednisone. Right now she has been down to 5mg a day (she tapers them slowly).
My main concern is with her new symptoms. She started to have hot flashes for about a month now, her period is late for 3+ weeks now and the hot flashes got more frequent (about every half an hour day and night). She has a terrible lower back pain. Also, from the recent blood test she got highly elevated AST and ALT (ALT is the 400's range and AST is around 170). Her Urea Nitrogen/Creathinine is also elevated a little (24).
Her FSH hormone shows 95 as in a post menopausal woman.
Recently she got some more testing and all Hepatitis types came negative.
Could you please tell me what might be wrong here ?
