Hi My Daughter Is Away At College And Has Called

Hi my daughter is away at college and has called me with concerns about back pain she's feeling along her right, middle side. The pain has rotated to the front under her breast and down her rib cage. Its constant discomfort with occasional sharp pains. It hurts when she breathes deeply. What could be causing this pain? Thanks for your time.
