Hi, My Doctor Diagnosed Me With Wax Accumulation In Both

Hi, my doctor diagnosed me with wax accumulation in both of my ears. He told me to put some cerumol drops in my ears to soften the wax so he could get rid off the wax in 3 days with irrigation. I put these drops in my ears and right away ny hearing decreased significantly. Is it normal?
