Hi, My Doctor Has Informed Me That I Have A

Hi, my doctor has informed me that I have a (non ulcerated) cyst like growth in my right ear canal. Over the past 18 months I have had intermittent balance issues, though these were mainly when I was sat or lying down and it felt like the ground was shaking or dropping slightly from under me. My ears were not checked and I was informed this was stress related (suffer anxiety also). I often hear a wooshing noise, in that ear, my heartbeat, intermittent feedback and a high pitched but quiet squeal. I am worried this could be something serious what do you think?
