Hi, My Mom, Age:48 Was Prescribed Pravastatin 40mg SID, Started

Hi, my mom, age:48 was prescribed Pravastatin 40mg SID, started 3 days ago. She is saying today she is very weak and all of her muscles and joints are hurting very bad and she is very stiff feeling all over. Is this anything we need to be concerned about at this point?
She is a very strong type 1 diabetic with high cholesterol and has had 3 mild heart attacks in the past year and a half. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.. Jess Chapman
