Hi My Mother Is Renal Patient And Is On Hemodialysis

Hi my mother is renal patient and is on hemodialysis past 1 month. She is also diabetic n hypertensive with no heart issues. But past 1 week she is experiencing sever coughing. Can you please advise the reason? We have given her hot soups hot water to drink but in vain. Please advise
