Hi My Mother Was Diagnosed With A Blood Clot On

Hi my mother was diagnosed with a blood clot on her lung and in her leg. The doctor was fairly optimistic they found it in time and she was put on eliquis. Now she's at home recuperating and did a bit too much yesterday and today is experiencing shortness of breath and extreme tiredness. Should we be alarmed or could she have overexherted herself yesterday?
