Hi, My Name Is Ashley I Have A 2 Year

Hi, my name is Ashley I have a 2 year old American Bulldog male, his name is homer about a month ago he developed small red sores on his mouth there mainly on his upper lips and lower lip in the center the bleed sometimes and some are larger than others. What is this and what caused him to get these, they look very painful. Please Help
