Hi my name is Cecilia and I am 47 years old and am currently going through perimenapause. I have high blood pressure along with heart palpitations. I have had an EKG and an echocardiogram done, and the results came back normal. My doctor is currently trying to figure out what is causing the heart palpitations.

Today, I went to the dentist and have been diagnosed with periodontal disease. My question is - can periodontal disease cause heart palpitations?
