Hi My Name Is Jane A Week Ago Last Friday

Hi my name is Jane A week ago last Friday I went to move my wing mirror & my right hand Thumb hit the mirror full on it snapped my nail & made my thumb go numb. & then over the next couple of hrs I started to get pain @ the base of my thumb & just below that my wrist has become very painful it painful to grip or hold anything could I have broken the small bone in my wrist my thumb doesn't hurt to bend but if I move it side to side then it's painful What should I do?
