Hi My Name Is Kelly And I Am A 50

Hi my name is Kelly and I am a 50 year old married white woman with 3 girls ages 19, 18, and 14. I see an internist regularly. My calcium has been mildly elevated for 4 years. Sept. 8th I had more lab work done and my calcium was up a bit at 11.3. I am to go back in 6 weeks for further testing. The tests they will be doing are a repeat calcium level, parathyroid hormone, serum protein electrophoresis and ace level. My question is what are these tests for specifically? What is my Dr. Looking for? When I look up elevated calcium I find Cancer everywhere and it's overwhelming. My oldest brother has just been diagnosed with myelofibrosis after 10 years of pure hell and his spleen being removed. He is now on jackafi and is much improved.. Can u help me?
