Hi My Name Is Nancy Bonner And My Brother-in-law Was

Hi my name is Nancy Bonner and my brother-in-law was rushed about 3 hours ago to the hospital via ambulance due to chronic stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, ultrasound revealed acute pancreititis. He is NOT a drinker. What are the chances this is hereitary. His father died with pancreatic cancer at the age of 64. Please advise.
