Hi, My Name Is Pearl, I Been Taking Prednisone 5mg

Hi, my name is Pearl, I been taking prednisone 5mg daily for about 2 weeks for arthritis/inflammation. My doctor just changed my prescription to 20mg daily. Ive only taken 3 so far. Yesterday was the third day. So yesterday I had severe pain in my left hand and wrist. Also my right hand. Even pain medication wouldn't stop the pain. Today my left hand is all swollen but the pain is not so bad. Is this a bad reaction to prednisone. What should I do? Dr's office is closed today. My email is YYYY@YYYY Thank you
