Hi, My Nephew Has ADD, He Is 32 Years Old

Hi, my nephew has ADD, he is 32 years old now and an opiate addict (has served time in prison for drug related charges, is currently out and clean, but knows he needs help soon)c. Has been taking ADD meds since he was 6 years old, not always responsibly, obviously. He is now trying to get into a rehab program, but they will not accept him if he is on any psychotropic meds. Is there any ADD meds that he can take that are not considered Psychotropic?
