Hi, My Partner Has Just Been Dismissed From Work As

Hi, my partner has just been dismissed from work as he suffers from a stress related mental illness that has been going on for some time. Over recent weeks, he has noticed that parts of his skin is bleeding & appears as a sore which he says feels tight & hot. It then seems to correct itself & appear somewhere else. These only appear on below the knee. His doctor has prescribes some cream which doesnt seem to touch it. Is it stress related & does he need anti-biotics?
