Hi, My Son Is 11 Years Old And Has A

Hi, my son is 11 years old and has a common cold right now. He has green mucus when he blows his nose. But my concern is that when he closes his nose and tries to depressurize his ears, he then experience a pain in his left ear. Can you give me some advise on my concern.
