Hi My Son Tripped Over Just Over A Month Ago

Hi my son tripped over just over a month ago and injured his knee, we went to doctors who thought it was a haematoma and said it should go away with time but it is still there and he's tripped over a few times since where he runs about and is only 2 and a half, just wondering if it is a haematoma or if I should take him back to doctors?
