Hi My Son Was Prescribed Hibiscrub And Differin Cream He

Hi my son was prescribed Hibiscrub and differin cream he is only 10 years old. He was prescribed it on friday and by the Monday his face was peeling, dry and looks a bit burnt. Is that part of the process or do you think he is having a reaction, side effects. I contacted my Dermatologist who told me to continue using both products but use twice a a week. Would do you suggest?
