Hi My Son Who Is 4 Has Had Diarrhea For

Hi my son who is 4 has had diarrhea for 8 days now. He had no fever and eats and plays just fine. He has been having 2 to 5 loose stools each day. Today he actually threw up right when he woke up this morning that was clear and then 4 hours later had diarrhea that wad green and coming out like water and stringy. He had been on a blend diet over this period of time as well. Could this be a bacterial infection or should I let it be another few days
