Hi, My Teenage Son (16) Has Been Finding Blood In

Hi, my teenage son (16) has been finding blood in his underwear a few times in the past few months. At first we thought it might come from the very spicy foods he likes to eat as it seemed to happen not long after having had a spicy meal. He has cut down on spicy food but the problem started again a couple of days ago. What could be causing this ?
