Hi My Throat And Face Are Swollen And Sore And

Hi my throat and face are swollen and sore and every day my throat gets tighter and tighter and hard to swallow my own spit. I do have a lot of allergies to things. I've been taking benadryl and it has slowed it down a lot at the beginning but now just getting worse. Is it a allergic reaction to something or just a exstreamly sore throat? Cuz I don't want to go to the hospital and them tell me it's no big deal
