Hi.... My Tsh Tested At 17.... It Has Been Kept

Hi.... my tsh tested at 17.... it has been kept in the normal range for over 8 years with 50m of levothyroxine and boom... off the charts.... I couldn't reach my doctor so I increased it to 100m and felt better in about a week..... she then told me to take it back to 50m and get tested in 6 weeks to see where it was... I went back to 50m and my hair is falling out again, I am so fatigued I can barely function and I am gaining weight in my stomach area where I have NEVER had fat...... my free t-4 is on the low end of normal..... I have got to get this under control..... my Dad has Grave's disease and is also taking the levo..... HELP! If I wait too much longer I will have no hair, be fat and asleep! Thank you for your advice!
