Hi My Wife Is Having Heavy Bleeding Since Last Two

Hi my wife is having heavy bleeding since last two months. In between she was advised a course of progesterone when the bleeding stopped. Once the course ended then she again stated bleeding heavily. Now she is taking pause mf 4 times daily for 10 days. Though it is in control but the moment she delays by an hour then it starts bleeding. Please opine a treatment and also this much of pause mf can cause any serious side effects?
