Hi, Our Household Was Diagnosed With A Severe Scabies Infection

Hi, our household was diagnosed with a severe scabies infection but im reading online things that say some of our symptoms arent caused by scabies. im wondering if we have a different mite? first, everyone felt it in their scalp first. we thought it was lice at first. it infested my teen sons face and eyes severely before his whole body. It was in my ears and nose as well as my whole body. We all feel prickling biting sensations. We have very few noticeable burrows but some did leave scars that look like cat scratches or stretch marks. Im wondering if our pricking biting sensations are normal for scabies, post scabies, or if it indicates a different mite?
