Hi Our Son 17 Years Old, Was Finally Diagnosed For

Hi our son 17 years old, was finally diagnosed for his stomach problem, C Difficile infection. He had this for 6 months, was wrongly diagnosed, we also found out he have thyriod issues, then our family dr said his stomach problems is about his thyriod issues. Last Friday he got really sick, watery stools again and throwing dark green up, severe stomach pain, then ER with him. After tests they found the infection in his big intenstines and his independix is inlarged. He was hospitalized, now home. They put him on Metronidazole. What I hear is that it's hard to treat and to get rid of. At the moment he is very weak and eat very little. What else can I do to help him, I also read a lot to see what I can do. Later in the month they will do some more tests. Just worried about if there are damaging in the intestines, 6 months of this problem. He really had a difficult life so far with this, many bowls, vometing, lost a lot of weight, iron low. Besides the antibiotica, what else can I give him to get nutritions in his stomach, as I say he is eating poorly. This is all because off again antibiotica after his wisdom teeth was taken out.
