Hi So I’ve Been Spotting Throughout The Day Nothing Heavy

Hi so I’ve been spotting throughout the day nothing heavy or anything for days leading up to my period it’s only been happening these past 3 months and never before that. And when it does stop it will start up again during any sexual activity. I’m not sure if sex is throwing everything off or what I just want to know if it’s serious
