Hi So A Few Days Ago I Had Cut Myself

Hi so a few days ago I had cut myself while shaving my genital area, left testicle to be exact. A few days later I noticed it was getting red and itchy and eventually I got this cluster of blisters around the area where I cut myself. I panicked and looked up a few diseases and have been scared I have somehow contracted herpes somehow through the small open wound. After looking through a series of other infections I've found folliculitis to be the most accurate to my condition given thag it happened whole I was shaving and I don't experience any of the other symptoms of herpes such as fever or feeling weak. Is there a way I can tell for sure which it is? I have applied peroxide to the area and it actually helped a lot if that means anything.
