Hi, So Earlier Today I Cut My Finger And It

Hi, so earlier today I cut my finger and it was a kind of bad cut, and it was bleeding pretty bad (at least for a finger). I got most of the bleeding to stop, and then put a Band-Aid on the cut. It's been probably 5-ish hours later and I took the Band-Aid off. The bleeding seems to have stopped, but there looks to be blood around the cut. Should I wet the cut to get rid of the dried blood, or what should I do in order for it not to become infected?
