Hi, So For About A Week Now I Have Had

Hi, so for about a week now I have had a bad cough with fever and loss of voice. This last day/2 I have noticed a bad taste whilst coughing. The main reason for asking is I had a pneumonia in both lungs when I was younger and I remember the taste from then.. Is it anything to worry about or just continue with lemsip etc.
