Hi, So Here Is My Problem. I Have Never Had

Hi, so here is my problem. I have never had sex before but this past weekend I had sexual contact with a female. The next day in the afternoon I felt a irritation on the head on my penis. As the next day went on the head of my penis where my urethra exits my body started to hurts when I urinated. I went to the doctor and they checked for a UTI and all the urinalysis showed was a little to much protein. There doesn't seem to be any bumps or sore forming, but I don't want to rule out herpes because I know it can take awhile for symptoms to start showing. I guess I'm just confused on what this irritation is coming from, and extremely worried that it is herpes.

Would I even start to have symptoms of herpes the day after I had contact and if these are symptoms would sore start to be forming soon? I'm just extremely confused and wondering if anyone can help. Thanks.
